BETTENDORF, IA - A local award-winning brewer has officially joined the team at Crawford Brew Works. Scot Schaar has been named Head Brewer and will assume his role this month at CBW. Schaar has been named the Iowa HomeBrewer of the Year twice and won the 2017 National MeadMaker of the Year Award. Schaar, most recently, was the Distiller at the Mississippi River Distilling Company.
"My goal for CBW is to bring a solid lineup of popular beer styles while throwing some lesser known and fun beers into the mix," Schaar said. "While traveling in Germany and the Czech Republic, Karen and I discovered a wealth of regional beers that I would love to share with the QC beer community."
